For over 32 years, Chris Cozzens’ career in the construction industry has been driven by a single focus: helping people build better, more resilient structures. Today, with 26 years dedicated specifically to architectural metal systems, he partners with architects, specifiers, and contractors across Kentucky, West Virginia, and Southern Ohio to solve their most complex building envelope challenges.
A 1987 graduate of the University of Louisville and originally from Columbus, OH, he spent the first eight years of his career as a high school English teacher and head wrestling coach. Those years taught him how to communicate complex ideas, educate effectively, and build strong teams—skills that became the foundation of his consultative approach to construction sales.
He began his construction career selling post-frame structures for Walters Buildings, working his way up to Regional Vice President, before finding his true passion in architectural metals. Over the past two decades, he has served in highly technical territory and product management roles for leading manufacturers and distributors, including DMI, Petersen Aluminum, Metal Sales, and Beacon.
Through these roles, Chris has developed a deep, localized legacy in the KY/WV and SW Ohio markets, advising on hundreds of institutional, commercial, and historical projects. He specializes in bridging the gap between design intent and field constructability.
As a former educator, Chris’ philosophy is rooted in advisory guidance rather than a simple sales pitch. An AIA affiliate member and former member of CSI and KRCA, he routinely facilitates AIA CEU presentations. He takes pride in helping architectural firms stay current with shifting codes, evolving thermal requirements, and the defensible detailing germane to their designs.
Today, Chris leverages his decades of technical knowledge and long-term market relationships as the Territory Sales Manager for the REPS team.
